Freelance Project
Website Design
Responsive Design - Desktop, Mobile
Koach.ai
Overview
In the summer of 2022 during my college vacation period, I took up a collaborative freelance opportunity at Koach.ai, an Ed-Tech startup that offers career guidance services. The goal of the project was to create a website that advertised their company and services, while also encouraging the visitors to purchase their services, and hence increasing the conversion rates. I created wireframes and prototypes that provided an intuitive user experience and aligned with the client's brand identity.
The final website design was a visually appealing and responsive website that effectively communicated the startup's value proposition and encouraged users to take action by purchasing their services. Through this project, I demonstrated my expertise in website design and user experience, and my ability to deliver effective solutions that meet the needs of clients and users alike.
Final Design
The final design features a sleek dark theme with five pages - Home, Services, Impact, Company, and Request Demo.
The Home page serves as the landing page, offering visitors a brief yet engaging overview of the company and its offerings through concise snippets of information. The Services and Company pages provide additional details to establish a comprehensive understanding of the company and its services.
To encourage visitors to take action, Call To Action buttons were strategically placed on every page, leading them to the Request Demo page. The Request Demo page serves as the main purpose of the website, providing visitors with the next steps after exploring the content. Overall, the design prioritizes ease of use and a clear path to conversion for the audience.
The website content was designed to be minimal, direct, and easy to understand, keeping in mind users' attention span. The aim was to present information in a clear and concise manner to prevent users from losing interest while navigating. Simple yet effective visuals were used throughout the website to aid understanding of key concepts and features at a glance. Ample whitespace was used to enhance content readability and scannability, promoting user focus. The combination of minimal content and effective visuals resulted in an informative and user-friendly website, enabling easy navigation and quick access to the desired information, and encouraging users to take the main target action of the site.
Pain Points In Existing Design
-
Long website with too many pages: Simplify the website's structure and navigation, prioritize content to ensure that the most important information is easy to find and access.
-
Too many colors that are dull and not pleasant: Reduce the number of colors used and select a more cohesive color scheme that reflects the brand identity and appeals to the target audience.
-
Use of only illustrations and lack of real pictures: Incorporate high-quality images of real people and products to establish a personal connection with users and improve trust and engagement.
-
Contact us form is too plain with outdated UI: Redesign the form with a modern and visually appealing user interface that is intuitive and easy to use.
-
Website UI not captivating enough: Use a more engaging and visually appealing design that incorporates modern design elements and reflects the company's brand identity and values.
Information Architecture
Based on insights gained from the pain points, the website structure was planned out. The number of pages and content was kept minimal to ensure easy navigation and effective communication.
